HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ESSENTIAL OIL
For the enjoyment of well-being when using the aromatic necklace, always choose essential oils with which you are familiar with the aromas and check for possible contraindications (especially for exceptional groups such as pregnant and lactating women, and conditions like epilepsy or hypertension) if you wish to use them therapeutically and for prolonged periods, always consult professional therapists.
HOW ARE AROMATIC NECKLACES MADE AT ILHA?
Every aromatic jewelry from ILHA is made of 950 Italian alloy silver or 18k gold, free from heavy metals like copper or nickel, and is produced by us, here at Casa ILHA, with all the care and attention, from manufacturing to packaging.
WHAT MATERIAL IS USED AS A REFILL IN THIS AROMATIC NECKLACE?
Along with your drop-shaped aromatic necklace, a little cotton is included, and just a small piece of cotton is enough to contain your drop of essential oil. But you can use a piece of string, rags, felts, etc.
HOW TO CARE FOR AND MAINTAIN YOUR ILHA ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL?
My personal diffuser oxidized. What now?
This is a frequently asked question we receive here. The oxidation of silver occurs in the interaction of the pH of your sweat (which can increase in heat) with the essential oils. Are there specific rules? No, it varies according to physiological interactions, us, so special and unique, lol.
But there's a solution!
- For those who want to quickly solve the problem: you can use any silver cleaner with a cloth. The most well-known ones: Silvo or Brasso are creamy solutions and require a bit of rubbing. A tip is to cover the diffuser and chain with any of them, wait a few minutes for the product to act, and then carefully rub with a clean cloth.
There is also a blue solution called Monzi, you just dip it and then wash it well with soap and water (it's super stinky!). The product is good, but it loses its effectiveness over time, I store it in a closed cabinet, because I believe that light helps spoil it.
-
Want to use household cleaning products? Baking soda paste and a little water with a toothbrush, you can let it sit for a while, depending on the oxidation.
-
Don't have any of that? Toothpaste, the creamy kind, back in our day it was called Kolynos. Cover the jewelry with it, leave it overnight, and scrub with a wet toothbrush.
If any of these products have made your diffuser very shiny, you know that green and yellow dishwashing sponge? The green part is what we use to give texture to the diffusers. Gently scrub in circular motions.
ATTENTION
For all options, don't forget to rinse well afterward to remove residue and, preferably, rub alcohol with cotton and let it dry. Any residue can interact with your favorite oil and spoil it.
TIP: Keep the chain closed, when the ends are loose, it's easier to knot and break.
