CHOOSING YOUR ESSENTIAL OIL

For enjoying the well-being benefits of your aromatherapy necklace, always choose essential oils with which you resonate with the aromas, and check for possible contraindications (especially for exceptional groups such as pregnant or lactating women, and conditions like epilepsy or hypertension). If you intend to use them therapeutically and for an extended period, always consult professional therapists.

HOW ARE THE AROMATIC NECKLACES MADE AT ILHA?

Every aromatic jewel from ILHA is crafted in 950 sterling silver of Italian alloy or 18k gold, free from heavy metals like copper or nickel, and is produced by us, here at Casa ILHA, with utmost care and attention, from manufacturing to packaging.

WHAT MATERIAL IS USED AS A REFILL IN THIS AROMATIC NECKLACE?

Along with your droplet aromatic necklace, a small piece of cotton is included, and just a little cotton is enough to hold your drop of essential oil. However, you can also use a piece of string, fabric scraps, felts, etc.

HOW TO CARE FOR AND KEEP YOUR ILHA ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL?

My personal diffuser has oxidized. What now?

This is a recurring question we receive here. The oxidation of silver occurs due to the interaction of the pH of your sweat (which can increase in heat) with essential oils. Are there rules? Not really, it varies according to individual physiological interactions, as we are all so special and unique, right?

But there's a solution!

  1. For those who want to quickly solve the problem: you can use any silver cleaner with a soft cloth. The most well-known ones like Silvo or Brasso are creamy solutions that require a gentle rub. A tip is to cover the diffuser and chain with any of them, wait a few minutes for the product to work, and then gently rub with a clean cloth.

There is also a blue solution called Monzi, you just have to dip it and then wash it well with soap and water (it smells awful!). The product is good, but it loses its effectiveness over time, I store it in a closed cabinet because I believe that light can spoil it.

  1. Want to use household cleaning products? Baking soda paste with a little water and a toothbrush can be left to act for a while, depending on the oxidation.

  2. Don't have any of that? Toothpaste, the creamy kind, in our time it was called Kolynos. Cover the jewel with it, leave it overnight, and scrub with a wet toothbrush.

If any of these products have made your diffuser too shiny, you know that green and yellow dishwashing sponge? The green part is what we use to give texture to the diffusers. Rub gently, in circular motions.

ATTENTION

For all options, don't forget to rinse well afterward to remove residues and, preferably, rub alcohol with cotton and let it dry. Any residue can interact with your favorite oil and spoil it.

TIP: Keep the chain closed, when the ends are loose, it's easier to get tangled and break.
